Designer Min Wu, who graduated from the London College of Fashion, garnered a lot of attention this season with her multi-sensory presentation for SS16. The designer, who showcased her collection with Fashion Scout last year, opted for a calm presentation with models showcasing the clothes against the backdrop of smooth music and a short captivating film directed by Davis Richardson. This season, she was supported by the TOPSHOP Newgen scheme and presented a collection entitled Adjusting/Healing, which deals with the human relationship with functional materials and technology. It seems that many designers are influenced by our deeply-intertwined relationship with technology. The garments were feminine yet athletic and had a sickly sweet element to them. Plastic was a significant element Wu incorporated.
