The 22/4 Hommes’ Autumn/Winter 2016 collection articulated a clash between the modern and the traditional, where English heritage patterns collided with high-end Italian fabrics. Inspired by the traditional huntsman’s wardrobe, classic masculinity was evoked through such incarnations as houndstooth and tartan checks, only to be uplifted with modern sportswear elements inspired by the seventies. In a varied spectrum of hues rich with greens and browns, this season revealed to be a collection richly inspired in fabrics and design, representing options upon options: long bomber jackets and quilted waistcoats, florals and checks, sporty ribbons and 70’s-inspired copper zippers, trumpet sleeves and flared seems.
