Designer of KTZ, Marjan Pejoski, took inspiration from a range of sporty ‘all American’ baseball and Russian Futurism, through to iconic German electronic band Kraftwerk. The new collection showcases a minimal colour scheme, heavily featuring black, red and green. There are a few literal nods to baseball in the collection, including structural panels of material sewn like a baseball ball is – a feature used with much of the footwear. Similarly numerous models wore baseball batting helmets. Nonetheless, the pieces were actually of elegant shape and consisted of dynamic geometric prints, including that of the union jack, a sly patriotic acknowledgement of sorts.
