For Autumn / Winter 2013, Rynshu set out to re-invent suiting in a decidedly rock ‘n’ roll fashion through surprising textures and dark tones. A subtly quilted jacket was worn sans shirt but with a breastplate necklace; satin fabric was crumpled to resemble a ripple effect and a sequined metallic suit shimmered in black and gold. Leather blazers took a cue from aviator jackets with shearling collars, while jacket lapels were adorned with satin, thick sheep wool or drawn in a thick white line. Traditional menswear shapes were furthermore transformed through quirky details like colourful lining, quilted sleeves and faux reptile coating. Even the accessories were cute and peculiar, as evidenced by a cat-ears bowler hat and several sparkly devilish-looking plush toys attached to models’ hips.
