Giulia Bassano Fossati ‘Hide-and-Seek’
Genoese-based womenswear designer Giulia Bassano Fossati graduated from Polimoda International Institute of Fashion Design & Marketing in Florence in 2013. Upon finishing her education, Giulia first gained work experience with two Dutch fashion brands before starting her eponymous line. Titled ‘Hide-and-Seek’, her most recent collection was inspired by the uniforms of early 20th century policewomen and postwomen as well as by the work of artist Daniel Firman. Using coloured inner tubes of bicycles, it re-appropriates this material to give structure to coats and jumpsuits.
