Yemzi ‘AYAO’ collection, photography by Cara-May
Elizabeth Akingbade is a mixed-media artist and designer who launched her brand Yemzi in 2013. A Surface Design graduate from The University of The Arts London, her designs are often inspired by her English upbringing in the seaside of Bournemouth. Yemzi is an ethical streetwear label for women, with environmental sustainability as its core foundation and high quality with minimum waste. Yemzi’s latest collection is titled ‘AYAO’, meaning ‘goddess of air’. The designs were influenced by Akingbade’s dual-cultural background.
