‘A Suitcase Full Of Dreams’ is the title of Rebekka Ruétz’s Spring / Summer 2015 collection. This might be the reason why almost every look of the collection featured an item made of transparent airy fabric, as if it was wrapped in a dreamy haze. Sheer tops, covered dresses and see-through skirts were worn layered over each other, whilst black belts accentuated the waistline. Fuzzy yellow lines printed on white slim suits and dresses gave the look an arty urban chic aesthetic that echoed the models’ brush-stroke-effect makeup adorning their foreheads and eyes. Some skirts and dresses featured sophisticated folds and inserts, only seen from right up close due to the sheer fabric that covered them.

The eclectic fabric mix was intriguing – clear fabric was combined with opaque cotton, shiny materials were paired with perforated lace-like fabrics and matt laminated jersey was mixed with cotton and silk. The designer worked with a subtle colour palette of neutral and pastel tones such as opal white, pale pink, mauve, peach pink, mint green and dusty grey.
