Blue’s the clue with Richard Nicholl‘s Spring / Summer 2014 men’s collection, starting off with an array of pieces such as print T-shirts, knit jumpers, double-breasted macs and shear mesh jumpers. Seemingly traditional pieces such as straight-legged trousers and shorts are spiced up with a reptile-esque print stencilled on top, tying that reptile skin ideal in with statement prints of ’70s pornography plastered over items like jumpers and jackets.

The reptile print is repeated throughout the collection in subdued ways on cream trousers and even appearing on a beige mac, with the pattern more restrained as to not overpower. Showing variety in the collection, there is a mint green knit jumper twinned with a pair of metallic trousers. The prints stole the show with provocative ’70s pornography images covering pieces in a dark olive tint to give the collection a streetwear, almost underground feel.
