Julie Yeung is a luxury womenswear designer who mixes haute couture engineering with modern innovation to create dynamic and unique pieces. Having completed her BA Hons at Northumbria School of Design and her MA atLondon College of Fashion, she recently assisted in designing the first capsule collection for Italian brand Leghilà. Julie’s latest collection ‘Cantilever’ is based on ambiguity and balance. Wooden slats are cantilevered from the body and interwoven with synthetic fibres to create weightless, floating forms, challenging notions of structure, form and drape.
