We Are Islanders ‘Tidal’ collection
The Irish We Are Islanders fashion collective consists of Rosie O’ Reilly (designer), Kate Nolan (production) and Deirdre Hynds (communications). They presented their debut collection ‘Tidal’ at the RHA Gallery in Dublin in October 2013. The label challenges the concept of heritage, merging the old and the new while fusing art and fashion. The Autumn / Winter 2013 collection brings a contemporary twist on traditional Irish fabrics through quilting, cording, binding and hand printing. Some of the pieces were dyed by the high tide on Sandymount Strand.
