The Autumn / Winter 15 collection ‘Circulate’ by Sydney-based label Vanessa Emirian is a presentation of one’s wacky obsession with circles. Using circular prints, conical silhouettes and a pastel colour palette, the designs are a reflection of Yayoi Kusama’s signature polka dot style. Vanessa creates clothing with a distinctive feminine and playful aesthetic. She practices tailoring and contemporises traditions with respect to artistry. Going overboard with shapes and playing with lines and geometry, the Australian label highlights delightful and unique contemporary fashion.
