Canadian-born, east London-based designer Edeline Lee showcased her latest Autumn / Winter 2015 collection differently than anyone else. The combination of cut, structure and colour made her garments standout amidst a sea of colourful art sculptures in her exhibition. The clean modernist lines, feminine cuts and incredible detail, alongside the work of artist and sculpturist David Roberts, made the exhibition intriguing and playful. It was like stepping into an Ikea playground, with the clean surfaces and colour scheme all hinting at youthful carelessness.

What looked like a weeping willow metal tree, with mirrored leaves adorning it, stood in the doorway, making us interact with the actual artwork, as we had to move the branches to get through into the next darkened room. The collection, adequately named ‘Pop-up Art Cut-Out’ was curated by Than Hussein. The colour blocking of different materials such as lightweight wool, gabardine and reversible mesh neoprene made the garments hold their shape. Black, orange and turquoise were the distinctive colours that stood out and were matched by the sculptures surrounding the garments.
