Sudan-born, Nigerian-German Bobby Kolade is a fashion designer who launched his eponymous label this year with a 26-look collection titled ‘Things Fall Apart’. The collection entails bark cloth (made from the bark of a fig tree) which Bobby was attracted to due to its sustainability as an organic material as well as the fabric itself. He interned at power brands Margiela and Balenciaga in Paris between 2010 and 2012, which he claims has shaped him as a designer.
