Milan is commercial, Paris is haute and London is where the crazy and creative minds show. So far the stereotypes.

Bobby Kolade‘s collection for Spring / Summer 2016 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin is not one you would expect to be shown in Berlin. London? More like it, at least according to the stereotypes.

Kolade is a designer who is not scared to take us on his journey on which he finds himself; his voice, and his ways to express it. Not being afraid of colour, experimenting with cut and certainly not of digging in past decades, he came up with a collection as a collage of things we think we’ve see before (rave or new rave? 60s or 70s?). However, his mix is so uninhibited it comes across as fresh and new.

And please, Bobby … don’t move to London. Keep Berlin the faith. We need you here.
