‘Mysterious Garden’ is LALO’s Autumn / Winter 2016 collection inspired by the work of impressionist French painter Claude Monet. His mysterious atmosphere and inviting colours of water gardens emerged as the principal impulse in creating the colour palette and textures for this season. At Georgia’s Tbilisi Fashion Week they welcomed glittering ruffles, matching co-ords and pencil skirts in their main technique knitwear. Handmade tweeds, velvet, net and ostrich feathers help put together a range of hand-woven knitwear made in Georgia. Twin sisters Lalo and Nina Dolidze founded LALO in 2012. Lalo who is the creative director does not initially come from a fashion background however thanks to the encouragement of her twin, Nina, LALO was born.
