Illustrator of The Week – David Andrews

Although not his immediate path since graduating from University College Falmouth in 2006, London-based illustrator David Andrews has recently thrown himself into the world of fashion, illustrating the high-end runway looks from brands such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Zoe Jordan and Prada. Inspired by digital art and 1930s vintage, his pieces are initially sketched on the backs of old envelopes and scanned into the computer to edit on Photoshop. Due to the increasing popularity of digital illustrations, David has recently taken an interest in animating his work, making it more than just a static image.
